Where did the funding for this project come from?
The Climate Friendly Cities project is a collaborative project of NGOs, private sector representatives and partner LGUs. All partners are contributing to the project in various forms either financially, by providing technical expertise and lending needed political support on the ground.
Project funds for the specific components of the project comes from different sources. DOEN Foundation, based in the Netherlands, is a major funding partner and is funding the fleet of 50 Electric Jeepneys.
Solarco has provided financial and technical support for the development of the project concept.
Greenpeace is responsible for supporting the project preparation phase, information, advocacy and public outreach aspects of the project. Greenpeace is also the main supporter of the GRIPP operations and headquarters in Negros.
