Vital UN climate talks are taking place in Poznan, Poland from the 1st Dec - 13th Dec. These talks are the next step on the road to Copenhagen, where leaders from 190-nations will meet in one year’s time to decide on a crucial deal to save the climate. If they fail to reach that deal, we’ll be staring catastrophic climate change in the face. A strong outcome from Poznan will give next year’s talks a greater chance of success.

Developed countries like New Zealand must agree to binding emissions reductions if the deal is to be reached. In previous meetings New Zealand has refused to do so. And with our new Government's embarrassing backtrack on climate we're now at serious risk of becoming an international climate pariah.

We'll be keeping close tabs on our representatives and general goings on in Poznan. Stay tuned!
